Is BiteCal free?
Yes. Core AI photo scanning, barcode scanning, and macro tracking (protein, carbs, fat, calories) are completely free. BiteCal does not gate core logging behind a paywall.
What does BiteCal Premium offer?
BiteCal Premium (₹999/year) offers advanced micronutrient tracking, custom macro target recommendations based on weekly weight trends, and priority server processing for sub-2-second scans.
Are there ads in the free plan?
No. BiteCal provides a clean, ad-free experience even on the free tier.
Privacy & Data Security
What happens to my meal photos?
Your photos are processed exclusively to generate calorie and macronutrient estimates (Privacy Policy §3–4). Photos are not shared or published publicly.
Who has access to my data?
Only vetted sub-processors (AWS for hosting, Anthropic/OpenAI for vision processing, Stripe for payment execution) handle relevant data streams. We never sell user data.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. You can delete your BiteCal AI account and data directly in the mobile app settings or submit a web deletion request.
Is BiteCal safe for teenagers?
BiteCal's service is intended for users 18 years of age and older (Privacy Policy §13). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.
